This 2-hour seminar is designed for anyone who's always been interested in just what happens on a movie set. With an increased focus on practical effects in recent years there are more puppeteers, creature performers and movement professionals than ever working on the biggest films!

 

I've worked on films such as Gravity, Aladdin, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, The School for Good and Evil, Snow White, Wicked and more and been involved in high end TV such as The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

Join me, Mikey Brett, as I share my 10+ years' worth of knowledge and experience and explain what working on a movie is really like. Who do you talk to, where do you go, what should you bring and what exactly is a Best Boy?

This seminar is aimed primarily at puppeteers and movement artists but anyone who's interested in the practicalities of a film set is very welcome. The seminar fee is "pay-what-you-think-it's-worth" and will be delivered online over Google Meets.

 

You're welcome to take as many notes as you like and there will be a short break in the middle of the session. You'll also get a hand-out of Who's Who and some specific film terminology as well as having the opportunity to ask questions.
